Our Mission
Our mission at the Foresta School is to empower and educate the next generation of leaders in sustainability and entrepreneurship. We aim to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to create a more sustainable and prosperous future for Puerto Rico and the world. Through hands-on learning experiences and real-world projects, we will inspire and challenge our students to think critically, problem-solve, and innovate. We believe that every student has the potential to make a positive impact on their community, and it is our goal to nurture and support their growth as responsible, confident, and compassionate leaders.

School Pillars
We have determined there are five pillars which we consider virtues here at Foresta – Academic Excellence, Community and Service, Leadership by Example, International Understanding and Outdoor Education.
Foresta School is committed to Academic Excellence. As we move forward, we intend to provide our teachers with the training, curriculum, and tools they need to help our students reach their educational goals. We also intend to provide support services such as tutoring and mentorship, so that all of our students can meet their academic potential. Michael will speak about the upcoming math support services.
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom. Starting this year, we intend to provide a wide range of extracurricular activities such as sports teams and clubs so that our students can expand their learning outside of the classroom. We are in the process of planning a music room and other art courses. We will also be offering such opportunities to the community at large as this will help with obtaining grants for such activities allowing us to offer activities at a discounted rate.
At Foresta, we also believe in Community and Service. Prior to the end of the year, we will be encouraging students to get involved in their community and to help those in need. Through our service projects, students will learn the importance of giving back and how their actions can positively impact others.
In addition, Foresta School fosters Leadership by Example. We foster a culture where our students are encouraged to take initiative and lead by example. We will also look to providing opportunities for our middle schoolers to mentor, tutor, and expand their entrepreneurial talents.
Finally, Foresta School promotes International Understanding and Outdoor Education. As you know, we have many international students at the school from a variety of background. As a school, we would like to understand the different cultures that surround us as well as those that are far away through a variety of activities and initiatives. By implementing a Forest curriculum component and encouraging outdoor activities, students are able to gain a better understanding of the natural world around them.
